RIVER HOUSE IN REGENT PARK

LArche Toronto 50 - Everyone Belongs blue transparent wide.png

After 49 years of vibrant community living, L’Arche Toronto Homes Inc. is ready to welcome persons with intellectual disabilities (core members) who have been on the long waiting list for a new home. These individuals will have the opportunity to engage with the L’Arche Toronto community and with Toronto’s wider community in a more direct and mutually enriching way.

Our new home, River House is approximately 4,400 square feet in area, all on a single floor in a new condominium development and was designed to welcome five core members and three assistants (direct support workers) to a fully-accessible, barrier-free and inclusive lifestyle. There will be eight bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office, a media room, laundry facilities ensuite, and same floor access to the building’s recreation and community facilities.

The campaign EVERYONE BELONGS! is raising $3.8 million to purchase and furnish the home and bring this 50th Anniversary project to fruition. Please join us on this journey and help build on an extraordinary legacy!

Help provide a new affordable, fully-accessible and barrier-free home for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the thriving Regent Park community.

EVERYONE BELONGS!  L’ARCHE TORONTO’S CAMPAIGN TO CREATE A PLACE TO LIVE, GATHER AND GROW.  A new model of inclusive community living in Toronto. The campaign will raise $3.8 million to create a more inclusive community in Toronto by opening a condominium home in Regent Park for five individuals with intellectual disabilities and three assistants.

A donation of securities or mutual fund shares is the most efficient way to give charitably since the capital gains tax does not apply. Your security or mutual fund donation means a larger donation for L'Arche Toronto and it also means a larger charitable tax receipt for you. Please call Caroline or use the Canada Helps button above.
